Google is preparing to launch 7-inch display tablet

Google is now entering in the field of tablet market as reported by Display Search Analyst to CNET.
Related Specifications:
Google brand is offering resolution of 1280×800, and a wide display of 7 inch, production will be slated by April. Moreover, the initial productions are expected to be across 1.5 to 2 million-units, as stated by a Display Search analyst Richard Shim.
Also on comparing Amazon-Kindle-Fire, gadgets of 7 inch, which offers display of 1024×600? As, reported Google- tablet would support Android 4.0 –“Ice-Cream Sandwich” priced at $199 in order to contend with Amazon kindle fire.
Controversies concerned:
It will launch as a premium -device or a competitor of Amazon kindle fire is yet not disclosed. After completing Motorola’s planned –acquisition, Google instantly launched 3 tablets: original 10.1 inch with Xoom 1, Xyboard 10.1 inch with Xoom2, and Xyboard 8.2 inch. Whatever might be the reason; its need for launching 7-inch display device too has marked a question. In addition, the comparative success of Amazon kindle fire of 7 inch is considering being one of the reasons.
A report by Barclay Capital Clemente said that -it has been estimated that sales of Kindle fire is around 5 million units. Only Apple’s iPad transcended that sales level in a small period. Google is gearing up to design before Apple’s iPad hits the marketplace. Google did not respond on it.

Novero Solana, dual OS tablet-netbook hybrid

Usually, the normal case would be that a tablet or a netbook would be running in only one operating system. The same cannot be said with the Novero Solana as this tablet-netbook hybrid can run not one, but rather two operating systems natively. This isn’t another Windows/Ubuntu dual-booting but instead Windows 7 and Android, which is a unique combination of operating system.
The Novero Solana will load the Windows 7 OS at its startup booting but with a click of a shortcut and a wait of roughly a minute, the screen will then change to an Android 2.3 lock screen. When this happens, users can expect full functionality such as those found in most Android tablets or smartphones. It should also be noted that the Novero Solana features a touchscreen along with a keyboard and trackpad. Therefore, users can have the best of both worlds with this device. As a side note, the manufacturing company said that the minute wait will be changed to a few seconds when the device is ready for primetime.
This device doesn’t come with an Android Market built in but it does have the GetJar app which still allows the user to download applications, much like the Android Market. At a price of $800, it would be a device worth considering.

GScreen SpaceBook – a new laptop with two 17.3″ screens

This laptop will not sell in large volumes ever, but I know people who would preorder it right now. If you ask what you can do with these two 17.3″ screens with full HD resolution, then you are part of the audience. Many users are often put in a position to have multiple applications open simultaneously. If I have an office document open and I take information from the Internet to insert it into the document, it’s not quite nice to go between office and the browser application with Alt + Tab.
And now enters GScreen SpaceBook, a laptop that you can already preorder. Its horizontal sliding screens display 1920×1080 pixels each. On the hardware part, we have enough performance components. The manufacturer chose the previous generation of Core processors, but the Core i5-560M and Core i7-740M are models that will not let you down. It has 4 GB or 8 GB RAM, these two configurations receive the NVIDIA GeForce GTS 250M, a 500 GB HDD and a DVD burner.
The price of such a laptop, not quite portable, starts at $2.395 and reaches $2.795 for the model with the Intel Core i7 processor. I am sure that the weight of 4.5 kg will be a minor inconvenience for those interested.

Magic-Cube Projection – Virtual Keyboard

The keyboard allows typing in a futuristic style – by laser projection – any device or mobile with Android system, IOS or Windows 7/XP.
Typing on mobile phones, tablet PCs is often inconvenient because of the small sizes of the gadgets. Magic-Cube Projection is a keyboard that offers an alternative for the rapid introduction of data just like in the SF movies. The gadget uses a laser projection, visible on any flat surface, displaying a standard QWERTY keyboard size. The position and movement of your finger is a complex electronic system that combines the laser beam with an infrared sensor. Can detect up to 400 characters per minute. The equipment is compact, measuring only 38 x 75 x 29 mm, given that weighs only 200 grams.
Magic-Cube Projection keyboard simplifies the use of your mobile equipment, doesn’t matter if it’s an iPhone or an Android phones. The keyboard can be connected to any device with Bluetooth HID or USB 2.0, compatible with Android OS 2.0/2.1/2.2, iOS, Windows 7 and XP.
The new model is compact, has good accuracy and offers a new feature: when the connected device supports the “keyboard” is metamorphosed into a multi-touch mouse with a simple combination of “keys”. In this case, the projection surface is equivalent to a Touch-Pad.
Magic-Cube Projection Keyboard was presented by Celluon at the CeBIT 2011 exhibition. The price is $169.99.

Cardboard USB Sticks

Tear off a stick of memory with these functional, eco-friendly cardboard USB sticks. They are capable of storing up to 16 GB a piece and are completely disposable. You can even label them with a pen, since they are just cardboard. It’s a pretty cool creation, although I’m not sure how long they would last if you really wanted to keep them around. It might actually get annoying if the cardboard gets bent out of shape.
If you’re interested in buying it, however, you’re going to have to wait a bit. They haven’t revealed pricing or availability. You can monitor their website at http://www.artlebedev.ru/everything/flashkus/ for any new information.

Apple TV: Apple will integrate it on Next-Gen iMacs

Apple TV is one of the most anticipated gadgets that have missed their expected launching dates but recently reports unveiled that the company is planning to inbuilt TV functionality into its next gen device- iMac Computers.
Apple’s Plans
What the company is planning to convert its popular Mac desktops into the bridge between desktop and television. Market experts are expecting the iMacs to function as a television as well based on iCloud platform. iMacs are expected to launch in mid 2012. Before some time, Steve Jobs revealed in an interview that it will be the simplest UI that have ever been imagined.
What Figures Says
However, Apple was quite excited while releasing its first Apple TV but unfortunately this attempt couldn’t capture enough market attention. Even, the small version was also not so successful.
Apple declared in last year (2010) that it will sell at least one million TV gadgets in 2011 but till the month of December, company hasn’t released its sales figures. It reveals more than enough.
Well, we hope that Apple TV integrated with iMac Desktop will prove a milestone.

CRP Racing comes with electric streetbike

There are already electric sedan cars and sport cars but the street has yet to have a good looking electric streetbike. However, that is all about to change with the Energica streetbike that will soon be released by CRP Racing.
The Energica is still under prototype but was released for showcase at the Italy EICMA motorcycle show. It definitely looks as good as any other bikes by CRP Racing and best of all, it may be one of the first few electric streetbike on the planet. .
Energica comes with a 100kW power which makes it possible to go up to 220km/h thanks to the 16kgm of torque. In addition to that, users can expect to go up to 150km with a single charge. This may not be a lot to those that do a lot of long distance travelling by using streetbikes. However, Energica does look futuristic with its LCD dashboard and the headlights which uses LED instead of the usual bulb lights found in most streetbikes.
The price of Energica by CRP Racing is at a deposit of $2100 but there is no further information on its pricing. Expect it to be at a range comparable with the Ducati and such.

Introducing ZionEyes Video Streaming and Recording Eyeglasses

This is indeed the craziest and best time for gadget freaks to lay their hands on the most unique, funkiest toys in town. The latest and coolest device to enter the market this week is ZionEyes, a pair of embedded-camera eyeglasses, called Eyez. This device contains a small camera situated to the left of pretty much normal-looking eyeglass lenses, along with support for Bluetooth and WiFi module, which is embedded in the ear piece located just next to it.
The tiny camcorder is almost invisible to those not in the know and there is no chance of someone knowing that they are being captured by a 720p video recorder. This tiny device also has a mono audio capture. Of course, this is definitely not the first spy camera, but it most definitely is the very first eyeglass camera of its kind. Once you record video, the future version of the product will enable you to stream the same in real-time, across the entire Web. The Eyez can be charged by means of using a USB cable to connect to your PC.
While all this is great, there is always this niggling issue of infringement of a person’s privacy – taking their video without their knowledge is not all that great a thing to do, after all! In any case, Eyez users will solely be responsible for the consequences of their acts. So be sure to know the law of the land before using this device.
The prototype which is available right now is a bit raw and needs tweaking, both as regards the audio and video quality. But we think that the final product that is slated to arrive soon will be polished up nicely. ZionEyes has not yet announced an official release date, but we do know that this comes at a cost of $199.
Check out pictures of the Eyez and know that the final version is bound to be much better looking than the present one. Well, we already give a thumbs-up for the current design. What do you think of this idea?

Carry Computer on Sleeves Now

The pace with which smartphones are becoming the choice of everyone, it is certain that people are not going to put these devices down in the near future. Wearable computers are going to be the call of the future because soon, we will become only more absorbed by the screen.
Google X Labs
We need something that would augment our vision with information and media. Apple along with Google has already taken an initiative and they have begun working on such projects. According to the sources, Google is working over something when attached to the body or clothing; it would communicate information back to an Android smartphone which is pretty amazing. Researchers in Google X Labs say Google has hired electronic engineers from Nokia Labs who have expertise in making tiny wearable computers.
Apple’s Researches
Apple is also on the same track. Apple is working on products that would also relay information back to the iPhone gadget. Likewise, Apple is selling Nanos with watch faces. Truly, smartphones in the coming future are going to change the face of technology. They are going to be the hub for our information gathering as well as sharing. We are so looking forward to hear more on this!

new Nokia N9 Ice Cream Sandwich released

Last week, evidence of the Android 4.0, running on Nokia N9 was shown. Now the expert, Alexey Roslyakov has bought up with a new video demo, of Ice Cream Sandwich, on an ordinary MeeGo smartphone gadget. Roslyakov’s hack has turned N9 to a dual booting device. When you hit the volume key at the time of boot stops, MeeGo stops running, and android 4.0.3 is brought up.
Issues with N9 gadget goes on toil
There are many issues that have to be overcome before proving android on new N9 real. At present time, battery indicator is not working, it has to be plugged, as said by N9, and the networking connection is not in a proper functioning mode.
Compatibility of Nokia N9 Ice Cream Sandwich gadgets
When last sight of hack was seen, OpenGL support was not satisfactory. That is unquestioning to N9’s 2D and 3D graphics, without compatibility in ICS port by using Android on Nokia smartphone, it would be not acceptable completely. These Nokia gadgets certainly have homework to do before coming to the market. As alpha has already been promised, more weigh will be given to hack 3.9 inches MeeGo phone, this may get a second chance as a dual- booting goes on.

Crafting 3D objects with Roland iModela 3D milling machine

There are just a lot of things that could be made as a hobby. Some prefer drawing, while others like to carve. However, not many would have the hobby of creating 3D objects by the process of milling. If you’re one of those people, or just one that is looking for a new creative hobby, then we might just have the right thing to show you.
Roland is a company which specializes in imaging products such as inkjet printers, vinyl cutters and such. In addition to these devices, the company also creates something unique for hobbyists: a digital hobby milling machine which allows users to create 3D objects. These objects are made possible through the use of modelling wax, foam, balsa wood and many more and it uses the milling technique to create these objects. To create these 3D objects, Roland is also bundling its iModela Creator application which allows the customer to design 3D objects.
The iModela comes at a price of only $899 which can be considered quite affordable for a milling machine. However, the milling area is only limited to 3.39 inches wide and 2.17 inches in length so it is a great machine to create miniature objects. In fact, it also comes with its own portable carrying case.

Nokia announces the Nokia Ice, literally in frozen H2O

In an attempt to put all of the products in the market to shame, Nokia decided to release a super-cool phone, the Nokia Ice. This is a technological breakthrough product that would definitely put other devices nowhere near the company’s devices. You would simply be astonished on the capability of the phone.
Charging is relatively easy because all you need to do is to put it into the freezer and let the endothermic chemical reaction do the charging. The internal hardware on the phone on the other hand uses a superhydrophobic coating which would repel any water that are available around it. This is quite the same as the technology used in Liquipel. Nokia claimed that all of these technologies aren’t easy but it has already existed and the company is doing its best to make use of it to its fullest potential.
As far as the design is concerned, you can pretty much sculpt the phone to whatever design you would like. The company had also talked to a few renowned ice sculptors on the possibility of what the design would be. If you have already read this long and want to know more about it, we would like to wish Happy April Fools’ Day to you too!

Boot to Gecko Mobile OS by Mozilla

We have the iOS by Apple, Android by Google, Windows Phone 7 by Microsoft and a few others. It seems that there will be a new competition in town and this will be Boot to Gecko and this is made by no other company than Mozilla. Mozilla has been working on applications such as Firefox, Thunderbird and a few others and Boot to Gecko is another one that they think will be a success.
Boot to Gecko uses an open Web standard and will be made mostly through HTML5 which is still a very powerful language to master. In fact, when it comes to things that haven’t been standardized such as SMS, camera, Bluetooth, USB and NFC, they are trying to make a standard for it by working with standard bodies and other vendors as well.
Boot to Gecko will most probably be competing with Android as it will be another open-source mobile platform. Will it be successful? Only time will tell because unless it gets into an agreement with major mobile phone manufacturers, chances of them being able to compete is slim. Nevertheless, it is somewhat refreshing to see a new competition in town especially when it is from a company that most people have heard about.

RIM revealed the beautiful BlackBerry 10

RIM unveiled today BlackBerry 10, the company taking advantage of the BlackBerry World event to introduce the new platform for mobile phones.
In this version, RIM focuses on working with quick gestures, applied to the touch interface, allowing users to run quickly between applications, documents and notices. At the live demonstration held during the event, the system seems to work very good, allowing quick and efficient work with the mobile phone.
RIM missed the opportunity to remind the public about the good reputation they products have when it comes to fast typing of documents and text messages. In general, BlackBerry Bold phones series are considered a standard of performance for terminals equipped with physical keyboard. Thus, company officials insisted for the optimization of algorithms to increase accuracy responsible for the virtual keyboard, the system is able to learn the pattern used by the user, automatically correcting the most common mistakes.
Symbols are accessed using touch gestures applied to the interface, but the highlight is a new technology that allows fast selection of the words offered as suggestions using swipe gestures. In the ideal case, the system can be used to quickly compose whole sentences, without having to type in words letter by letter.
The camera application has received improvements. To obtain a picture is enough to reach anywhere on the screen, then we call the function timeline a tool to move forward or backward in a list of snapshots obtained before or immediately after the triggered shutter. Thus, we can rectify the pictures were the photographed subjects have blinked, or when we didn’t exactly surprised the moment that we wanted.
If all goes as planned, the first products based on the BlackBerry 10 will arrive on store shelves later this year.

Sprint Wireless Tri-Fi Hotspot with 4G LTE Network Revealed Read more: http://www.newgadget.org/cool-gadgets/sprint-wireless-tri-fi-hotspot-with-4g-lte-network-revealed

Now you can access fast internet on the move using any 3G or 4G mobile broadband. The Sprint Sierra Tri-Fi Hotspot is the first of its kind because it supports all the three data networks run by Sprint- 3G, 4G LTE, and the unique 4G WiMAX. Earlier the 4G LTE was working in Dallas only but now it is being expanded.
FeaturesThe Sierra Tri-Fi mobile, broadband device will allow you to connect up to 8 Wi-Fi enable gadgets- computers, laptopstablets, or smartphones. For improving the signal reception of the 3G or 4G band, a performance dock or a wireless repeater is used which will also be available from Sierra and because ports on the device are not the usual antenna ports they are the only solution.
Availability and Cost
The Sierra Hotspot will be available around June 10 and costs around $100 with a two year contract or $350 without one. Nevertheless, Sprint has an unusually costly data plan with $35 for just 3 GB per month. With acceptable speed and battery life, it is a truly viable solution if you travel around a lot. Yet Sprint’s 4G coverage is not particularly enjoyable and so the data speeds in 4G are not something to write about. Moreover, the gadget is also quite bulky.
