Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 and 10.4 Versions by Deepak Ahuja

I’ve heard a lot of talking recently about Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Tab 3 tablet series, supposed to debut at IFA 2013 in Berlin. Well, it was obvious that we’d also get some concepts to go with the rumors. That just happened courtesy of Deepak Ahuja, who created the mockups below.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 and 10.4 Versions by Deepak Ahuja
He accompanied the images with specs, so the 8 inch Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 comes with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, a 1.9 GHz Octa Core processor and a 5 megapixel main camera. The slate has an 8 inch Super AMOLED HD+ display, with a 1080p resolution and a front 1.9 megapixel camera with BSI. There’s also 16/32 GB of storage, 1 GB of RAM and a 5300 mAh battery.
The other model is the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.4, that runs the same OS and adopts a 10.4 inch Super AMOLED HD+ display, with 1080p resolution. Inside there’s a 2 GHz Octa Core processor and at the back we’ve got an 8 megapixel camera with LED flash, while at the front there’s a 2.1 MP shooter with BSI. This Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 concept has 16/32GB of storage, 1 GB of RAM and a 7600 mAh battery. As you can see right here, the Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 looks like a bigger Galaxy S4, while the Galaxy Tab 3 10.4 adopts the typical Galaxy Tab design, only a bit more rounded than usual.

HTC One Tab 10 Tablet Uses a Snapdragon 800 CPU, Keeps HTC One Design Direction

It’s been a while since we’ve shown you Hasan Kaymak’s work and today we give you the HTC One Tab 10. This is a 10 inch tablet, inspired by the design of the HTC One and packing some very interesting software features.
HTC One Tab 10 Tablet Uses a Snapdragon 800 CPU, Keeps HTC One
Design Direction
It has HTC Sense 5.0 with BlinkFeed, while at the back there’s an 8 ultrapixel camera with LED flash and HTC Zoe. There’s also Beats Audio and 4 point speakers for an excellent audio experience, that may even entertain a full blown party. At the front we’ve got a 2 megapixel camera and the body of the device is all aluminum.
HTC One Tab 10 supports 4G LTE and relies on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 for processing power. The HTC concept table has a nano SIM card slot, a microSD, HTC Stay (just like Smart Stay by Samsung) and HTC Online. The latter is an unlock method that recognizes the user once he gets his hands on the device.  There’s also a feature called HTC GestureCamera, allowing you to record professional videos.
Frankly speaking, this is the sort of device that may actually be worth $1000…

Nexus 5 Phone With Sharp/LG Display, Motorola Hardware, HTC & Sony Camera

D. Saif sent us a render he did of the upcoming Google Nexus 5 phone, that he imagined as a common project of the biggest companies in the Android biz. Sharp, LG, HTC, Sony and Motorola joined hands for this, supposedly. The result is a super smartphone that runs Android 5.0 and is pictured below.
Nexus 5 Phone With Sharp/LG Display, Motorola Hardware, HTC &
Sony Camera
The Nexus 5 features an Ultra HD display, an Ultrapixel camera, Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor and 256 GB of storage. There’s also 4 GB of RAM on board and a huge 5000 mAh battery. The screen is made by LG and Sharp together and it’s a 5 inch 720p, or a 5.5 inch 1080p display or finally a 4K 6 inch one. Each aspect of the specs is customizable according to D. Saif.
Thus, you can go with either an 8 ultrapixel or 16 ultrapixel camera and with 64/128/256 GB of storage. There’s also a version with 2 GB of RAM and one with 4 GB. Finally, there’s a model with a 3000 mAh battery and one with a 5000 mAh battery. As far as design goes, this Nexus 5 is all display, with minuscule bezels. What do you think?
[Thanks D. Saif]

Home | About | Contact Us Suggest a concept! Concept Phone Designs and News * * Samsung Galaxy Note III Mockup Has 5.9 Inch Full HD Screen, Quad Core Snapdragon 800 CPU

After seeing a bunch of Samsung Galaxy Note III concepts, it’s time for Ben Ling to show us his version of the upcoming phablet. His creation is 5.9 inches in diagonal and adopts a Full HD Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen, with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
Samsung Galaxy Note III Mockup Has 5.9 Inch Full HD Screen, Quad
Core Snapdragon 800 CPU
While the Galaxy Note II stood apart from the Galaxy S III with more straight angles and less curves, this Note III mockup is all curves, following the trend that Galaxy Note 8.0 adopted. Actually, the Nexus 10 was a rounded tablet as well and the Galaxy Note 8.0 resembles it very much. I am a fan of rectangular devices, but after seeing how pointy a perfectly rectangular phone like the Xperia Z is in my hand, I guess I’ll have to pass.
Ben Ling’s Galaxy Note III packs a quad core 2.3 GHz Krait 400 CPU, a 13 megapixel camera with HDR, LED flash and 16x digital zoom and Full HD video recording. There’s also an Adreno 330 GPU on board, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean as the OS and the CPU’s identity is actually a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800. Inside the device there’s a 4050 mAh battery, as well as a very impressive 3GB of RAM.
This model also has wireless charging, a new S Pen and measures 8.4 mm in thickness.
[Thanks Ben Ling]

Motorola X Phone Gets New Render Leaked on the Web, Fresh Specs; Real Deal?

The folks of GSMArena, one of the most trusted sources of news on the web have received from a tipster the image you can see below. It’s supposedly a picture of the Motorola X Phone, the upcoming flagship device from Moto, developed with a big Google contribution.
Motorola X Phone Gets New Render Leaked on the Web, Fresh Specs;
Real Deal?
The device is expected to debut at Google I/O 2013 on May 15th and some say it may even end up as a Nexus Phone with Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie on board. Motorola X Phone is expected to use a Snapdragon 800 processor and a 4.7 inch 1280 x 768 pixel display, with an edge to edge setup. One of the best features of the Droid RAZR series, the battery will also be a stunner here, with a 4000 mAh battery present.
The tipster with this leak is saying that this model will have water resistance and dust resistance, plus Gorilla Glass 3 protection. There won’t be a microSD card on board and we may get a touch area at the back of the device, as previously rumored, plus a sapphire glass front. All in all this sounds like a very promising piece of gear, with unique attributes. The question is: Motorola X Phone render or real image?

Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini Rendered by YugaTech; Comes With Exynos 5210 SoC

Now that the Samsung Galaxy S4 has been unveiled, it’s time for Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini rumors to pour in. Those include the CPU, design and even some leaked shots that appeared on the web recently. Today we’re showing you a render of the Galaxy S4 Mini, done by YugaTech.
Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini Rendered by YugaTech; Comes With Exynos 5210
 SoC
The device relies on the compamy’s System on Chip Exynos 5210, a third SoC in the Exynos 5 lineup. The chipset is based on the ARM big.LITTLE architecture, although these are only rumors and I don’t really expect the phone to be that powerful. The interesting bit here is that this processor doesn’t combine two quad core CPUs, but two dual core ones instead (2x A7 and a 2x A15, maybe).
Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini will be a 4.3 inch smartphone with Android 4.2.2 on board, a qHD resolution and the TouchWiz Nature UX 2.0 applied on top of the OS. The design will be a smaller version of the regular Samsung Galaxy S4.

Sony “iPhone” Xperia Concept is Kind of Pretty

The Esato board used to produce dozens of beautiful Sony Ericsson concept phones, then Sony renders and then… it sort of stopped. Now we’ve just found a new design, a Sony “iPhone” concept, designed by Esato user Zuckabaecka.
Sony iPhone Xperia Concept is Kind of Pretty
You can see the already trademark metallic huge On/Off button of the Xperia Z, the front side that reminds me of the older Xperias and the back side that’s totally iPhone 5 and a bit of HTC One. The phone feels like of short and “fat” considering the size of the volume and On/Off buttons and sadly, the designer left us with no specs or features.
The device seems to have a metallic back and a metallic frame around its edges. I expect it to pack a 4.5 to 5 inch Full HD screen, at least a 13 megapixel camera and 2 GB of RAM. The rest? Maybe a Snapdragon 600 or 800 CPU, Android 4.2 or 5.0 and 16/32 GB of storage. Would Apple sue for this Sony 2013 design?

Samsung Galaxy Tab 5.6 is the “World’s Thinnest Tablet”

Although people are already dreaming of 6.3 inch phablets, here comes Deepak Ahuja with a concept of a tablet that’s 5.6 inches in diagonal. This squared slate is dubbed Samsung Galaxy Tab 5.6 and it explores yet another original format for Samsung, after they tried each and every diagonal possible out there.
Samsung Galaxy Tab 5.6 is the Worlds Thinnest Tablet
Galaxy Tab 5.6 runs Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean with the Samsung TouchWiz Nature UX and the screen is a 5.6 inch Super AMOLED panel with a 720 x 1080 pixel resolution and 336 ppi. Inside there’s a quad core processor with 1.3 GHz frequency (Exynos most likely) and at the back we have a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash. At the front there’s a 1.9 MP camera with BSI and all these features make me think about a tablet for the masses, a product that’s both good and reasonably priced.
We get 16/32 GB of storage, 1 GB of RAM, making this a hit of 2011 rather than 2013. Finally we get a 5100 mAh battery and if the designer imagined a price above $200 this model is doomed. Is there any room for this diagonal on the market? Also, this model is 8.2 mm thin, so not exactly “the world’s thinnest”, since Sony Xperia Tablet Z is 6.9 mm in thickness.
[Thanks Deepak Ahuja]

Google Nexus 5 Phone Uses Snapdragon 800 CPU, Runs Android Key Lime Pie

We have seen our fair share of Nexus 5 concepts, but Rahul Sharma takes it up a notch today with a new design, the one shown below. The device has an ArcTouch sensor on the bottom, that glows for notifications and also looks pretty cool, if you ask me.
Google Nexus 5 Phone Uses Snapdragon 800 CPU, Runs Android Key Lime
 Pie
The same bright area is the Home button of the smartphone and the aim here is to maintain the Nexus design and add a few incremental curves and some edgy corners. The buttons on the bottom are for tasks management and the Back key. The Nexus 5 uses a combo of polycarbonate in the middle part with an anodized aluminum body at the front and a premium finish for the perfect Google flagship phone.
On the right side of the handset there’s a tiny sensor that’s used as the volume rocker and also for navigation. The bottom part of the sensor actually activates the camera. On the left side we’ve got a HDMI port, microSD and microSIM. As far as specs go, we get a 1.9 GHz Snapdragon 800 CPU, Android Key Lime Pie and 2 GB of ReRAM (resistible RAM made of memresistors). There’s also a 13.1 megapixel camera at the back, hexaband connectivity and a 5 inch Full HD edge to edge display of the SLCD3 kind.
As far as the power source goes, a 3100 mAh Li-Po battery will take care of the power. Google Voice 2, the latest Google Keep and an optional solar panel at the back complete the features list. Does this sound futuristic enough to you?

Aurora Prime Phone Concept is a Follow-up to the Samsung Galaxy Aurora

If you don’t remember the Samsung Galaxy Aurora, well it was a concept made by Alexander Black and now the designer is back with a follow-up. The new model is called Aurora Prime and uses all the things that were not so good on the first device, now corrected and improved.
Aurora Prime Phone Concept is a Follow up to the Samsung Galaxy
Aurora
The pictures you’re seeing here have teaser value and the finalized smartphone will come on March 30th. Obviously feedback is welcome at this stage. The handset looks very much like a Galaxy S series member would look like and it’s very, very slim, plus it seems to have a cutout for a Home button. The Aurora Prime smartphone features an edge to edge display, that’s about 5 inches in diagonal, if you allow me to estimate.
No idea what the back looks like, but I’m guessing it’s black and it’s either made of plastic material or metal. I’m also guessing there’s a 13 megapixel camera on there, some powerful speakers and inside the device there’s 2 GB of RAM, 32 GB of storage and maybe an 8 core CPU. Don’t be surprised if we end up with another Galaxy S5 concept!
[Thanks Alexander Black]
