Sony Edge Phone Uses the World’s Thinnest Screen Frame

Deviantart member fediaFedia created an interesting Sony concept phone, more interesting through its specs than design. The Sony Edge is the handset with the world’s thinnest screen frame and it’s pictured below. It’s basically a whole touchscreen slab in a compact format.
Sony Edge Phone Uses the Worlds Thinnest Screen Frame
Sony Edge runs Android 4.1.2 and relies on an Exynos 1.6 GHz Octa core processor, although I doubt Samsung would lend its CPU to some other big maker. They did however lend an Exynos to Meizu, so who knows? Going further, the Sony Edge smartphone features a 5.2 inch 3D Super AMOLED 1920 x 1080 pixel display, with Gorilla Glass 2 protection and reflection reduction.
Other specs include 3G, 4G and LTE connectivity, 2 GB of RAM and at the back we’ve got an 8 megapixel rear camera with flash and 3D abilities. Finally, there’s also a front 3D 2 megapixel camera and inside the device there’s a 2550 mAh battery and support for wireless charging is also on board. MicroSD with 256 GB support, NFC and 60 FPS HD video recording are here, as well as DTS Mobile. Fancy this model?

Probably the Last Samsung Galaxy S IV Concept, Created by Sanjaya Kanishka

We’re only 4 hours away from the big Samsung Galaxy S IV announcement and till then we have time for one last concept, created by Sanjaya Kanishka. Of course it’s Galaxy S IV render, what else? The device is based on the first model made by this designer and adds some new technologies in the mix.
Probably the Last Samsung Galaxy S IV Concept, Created by Sanjaya
Kanishka
The new concept focuses on new hardware specs and small design modifications, especially the rounded edges. We also get a physical Home button, although previously we didn’t have one. On the top there’s a 2.1 megapixel camera, ambient light sensor and a proximity sensor, plus another sensor to help with the new eye scrolling technology. The edges are curved, but not as rounded as on the Samsung Galaxy S III. This Samsung Galaxy S IV mockup packs a 4.99 inch Green PHOLED 1080p edge to edge display and PHOLED is a brand new type of AMOLED with lower power consumption compared to other OLED screens.
At the back there’s a 13 megapixel camera and at the bottom there are two speaker grills on the left and right corners. Rumor has it that we’re going to see something called Samsung Orb tonight, a 360 degree panorama feature. As far as texture goes, the design of the cover of the handset is expected to be dotted. Specs include the Exynos 5410 Octa chipset, 2 GB of RAM, liquid repellent nano coating, 32/64 GB of internal memory and wireless charging.
There’s also S Pen support, a 2600 mAh Li-Ion battery, Android 4.2.1 as the OS and SRS WOW HD dual speakers. I am pretty sure that 99% of all these specs will make it to tonight’s launch. How about you?

Samsung Galaxy S VI Gives us a Glimpse of 2015… Or Even Further

Yes, you read the title right, it’s Samsung Galaxy S VI or Galaxy S6 if you want, not the Galaxy S IV launching tomorrow. Vilim Pluzaric imagined it and claims that he sees the newcomer as a cultural icon, that will replace the iconic nature of the iPhone, so he dedicated lots of hours to this project.
Samsung Galaxy S VI Gives us a Glimpse of 2015... Or Even Further
Vilim Pluzaric wants the design to be humane again and not so focused on crazy specs and advancements. The new Galaxy S VI design includes technologies that have yet to be launched, but they are truly a subject of innovation. We return to the roots, to the 4.5 inch screen, a larger frame/edge around the display, that actually makes sense from the point of view of the ergonomics. Edge to edge is dismissed by the designer as not so viable.
There’s also a RGB wide gamut OLED display and a non rectangular surface of the screen. The Samsung Galaxy concept is very thin and also very smooth and it’s made of plastic, with a futuristic generation of nano coating called Hyperskin. Everything goes to wireless, so there are no audio jacks or charging ports or even USB.
Samsung Galaxy S VI Gives us a Glimpse of 2015... Or Even Further
The device runs Android 6.0 with Gravity UX, that actually looks to me as innovative as the jump from Gingerbread to Android ICS, frankly speaking, so it’s impressive. The battery is also next gen and should provide one week of heavy usage on a single charging, while the display supports a 1920 x 1200 pixel resolution. At the back we have an 18 megapixel camera with 4K high framerate video recording.

HTC One Tab 7 Tablet is Derived From the HTC One, Enhanced

Hasan Kaymak, the person responsible with the HTC Concepts Facebook page sent us another one of his creations, a HTC concept tablet. The new model is called HTC One Tab 7 and by the way, the designer has a new page, a Google+ one called Hasan Kaymak Innovations.
HTC One Tab 7 Tablet is Derived From the HTC One, Enhanced
You should know that Hasan has created many of the latest HTC renders we’ve published on this site. Back to the tablet, the HTC One Tab 7 draws its inspiration from the HTC One handset and it comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor, a 7 inch Full HD SLCD 3 display and HTC Sense 5.0 UI with BlinkFeed and HTC Zoe. There’s also Beats Audio, very loud speakers and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean as the OS.
4G LTE, WiFi and a battery with 10 hours of functioning time round up the specs list. We also get an 8 ultrapixel camera with LED flash and a nano SIM and microSD card slot. This would instantly become the tablet with the best camera and also with the most interesting interface. Considering all these technologies, it would also cost quite a bundle…

[Thanks Hasan Kaymak]

Apple iPhone X is a Beautiful Dream, by Bob Freking (Video)

It’s been quite a while since we last saw an iPhone concept, so this one is welcome! Bob Freking imagined a 4.8 inch Retina Display Apple smarpthone, with a seamless design and ports underneath glass cover.
Apple iPhone X is a Beautiful Dream, by Bob Freking (Video)
At the back we’ve got a 16 megapixel iSight camera with dual LED flash, while upfront there’s a 4.8 inch Retina Display with reimagined design. The Home button has also been redesigned and seems more separate from the lower section than usual. By the way, this device is called the Apple iPhone X and it gets a trailer shown below. The handset comes with wireless charging, NFC sharing and it’s the thinnest and lightest iPhone ver. It also seems to have a metal shell for the most part, one that’s slightly curved.
I like how the back resembles the one of the older iPhones. Bob Freking even imagined a price tag for the iPhone X concept: $1,199 for the 128 GB version. Specs also include an AX quad core CPU, most likely the A7, 2 GB of RAM and iOS 7.0 probably. Can Apple come up with that for the iPhone 6S maybe?
You need to a flashplayer enabled browser to view this YouTube video

Samsung Galaxy Note III Concept by Deepak Ahuja

If you want a next generation phablet, the Samsung Galaxy Note III will satisfy your craving, but there’s a long waiting time till it launches. Well, till that happen we’ve got the concept below, created by Deepak Ahuja.
Samsung Galaxy Note III Concept by Deepak Ahuja
We’re dealing here with a 6.33 inch Super AMOLED HD+ Galaxy Note III, that seems to be a very elongated version of the Galaxy S II/Note 1, if you want. It’s like the original device was pulled and stretched and its bezels have been made almost non-existent. The S Pen also looks fancy and just like the Galaxy S IV rumors say, this device keeps its Home button.
Samsung Galaxy Note III has a specs list that includes a 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution and it relies on a 1.3 GHz Octa core processor, probably Exynos 5 Octa. At the back we’ve got a 13 megapixel camera with LED flash, while upfront there’s a 2.1 megapixel camera with BSI and CMOS sensor. The device offers 16/32/64 GB of storage, 3 GB of RAM and a 3600 mAh battery. I like this design, but this phablet seems huge to me. What about you?

Nokia K1-00 Phablet Uses a 5.9 Inch Display, Has a Very Cool Back Design

I have to admit I’ve missed Nokia concepts lately, while being drowned in a sea of Samsung Galaxy S IV renders. Luckily Khoa Do Vinh has a new Nokia for us, dubbed K1-00 and this is actually a phablet, not a phone. Enjoy!
Nokia K1 00 Phablet Uses a 5.9 Inch Display, Has a Very Cool Back
Design
The Nokia K1-00 phablet features a 5.9 inch AMOLED screen with Gorilla Glass protection and PureMotion HD+ ClearBlack technology. There’s also 32 GB of storage and a TI OMAP 3630 1 GHz CPU, plus a PowerVR SGX530 GPU. There’s a USB 3.0 port on board and a 41 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics and optical image stabilizaiton.
Pureview technology is here, with autofocus and dual LED flash. The surprising bit? This Nokia phablet runs MeeGo 1.2 Harmattan, an OS we thought was dead and buried. The back side of the device looks a bit sci-fi, almost like spaceship or a complicated camcorder… What do you think about this device and most of all MeeGo?
[Thanks Khoa Do Vinh]

Samsung Galaxy S IV in Suman Chatterjee’s Vision: No Home Button, Very Small Bezels

The clock is ticking and we’re only 3 days away from the big Samsung Galaxy S IV launch in New York. Till then concepts continue to pour in and today we’re dealing with a render coming from Suman Chatterjee. Meet his Galaxy S IV mockup:
Samsung Galaxy S IV in Suman Chatterjees Vision: No Home Button,
Very Small Bezels
We’re dealing with a phone that ditches the Home button, uses virtual Android keys and a rectangular design, without any curves. It also adopts very slim bezels and it kind of looks elegant, if you ask me. Not so sure about the unused space above the display, though…
Specs of the Galaxy S IV render include Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, a Super AMOLED Full HD display and a 13 megapixel camera. The cam has autofocus, a LED flash and other features included here are 16 GB, 32 or 64 GB of storage and 2 GB of RAM. I’ve heard much speculation on the fact that the Galaxy S IV will look like the S II. What do you think?

Sony Xperia Tablet X is a Normal Tablet, Which is a Big Deal for Sony

Suman Chatterjee created the Sony Xperia X smartphone and now he used that as inspiration for a tablet. Meet the Sony Xperia Tablet X, a device with a normal slate design, which is a big deal for Sony, who has been experimenting with those poor folded magazine formats.
Sony Xperia Tablet X is a Normal Tablet, Which is a Big Deal for
Sony
Luckily they got some sense kicked into them, once they saw that the Xperia Tablet S was not selling. Then they came out with the Xperia Tablet Z and now we’ve got the Xperia Tablet X concept. I imagine that the specs are superior to the Xperia Tablet Z, so maybe there’s a Snapdragon 600 or 800 inside, perhaps 2 GB or 3 GB of RAM and maybe a brand new 13.1 MP Exmor R camera.
The display may finally move into Retina territory, which is something that only Samsung has been doing, among the big Android slate makers. As usual audio and video capacity will be top notch on the slate. Fancy this model?
[Thanks Suman Chatterjee]
