Nintendo Smartphone Concept Looks Appealing, Better Than Wii U (Video)

Nintendo has been struggling a bit to sell the Wii U and recently there was a rumor that they may implement Android smartphone games on this console. Now, straight from T3 comes a brand new concept phone: the Nintendo smartphone.

The device looks a bit like a futuristic Samsung Galaxy S concept, one that’s very thin and has two interesting physical buttons at the bottom, aside from the Home one. The plus and minus button were also present on the Wiimote, which you probably know if you’ve seen it. The Nintendo phone comes as an answer to the new Xbox and the PS4.

Obviously you get a ton of Nintendo games, all of them running natively on the device. The lower area of the device totally reminds me of an iPad Mini and the specs of the Nintendo phone include a 5 inch Full HD AMOLED screen, 2 GB of RAM, Nvidia Tegra 5 graphics and a 2 GHz Snapdragon 8 core CPU. There’s also Wii U Chat on board, basically a Facetime alternative, Wii U connectivity support and a Community app with leaderboards, achievements and Cross Play is here as well.
There’s even a gamepad accessory pictured above… How cool is this gizmo?

Nokia Paragon Runs Android With Nokia UI, Offers 3 Day Battery Life

Remember the Nokia Paragon teaser? Well, Bob Freking finished the concept and you can check it out below, as it has some impressive goodies. Those include Android with Nokia UI on top and a huge battery life. Also, guess what… the phone is indestructible.
Nokia Paragon Runs Android With Nokia UI, Offers 3 Day Battery Life
Nokia Paragon features a 4.5 inch ClearBlack AMOLED PureMotion HD+ display with Full HD resolution and a 1.8 GHz quad core Snapdragon 800 processor. It has the Adreno 330 GPU, 2 GB of RAM and a 21 megapixel Pureview camera with Full HD video capture. We also get excellent low light capture, image stabilization, lossless zoom and more. There’s a 1.3 megapixel front facing camera with 720p video capture and Android 4.2.1 as the OS.
This Nokia Android phone features a specific Nokia UI that somehow reminds me of that OS on Nokia Asha 501. We get Nokia Music on it, Here Maps, Cinemagraph, City Lens and all the goodies typical to a Lumia. This concept relies on a 3,500 mAh non removable battery, that should provide about 3 days of use. By the way this device does wireless charging and is virtually indestructible.
The design is very well thought and although the case is pretty wide, there’s a certain elegance to this Nokia concept.
[Thanks Bob Freking]
